Committed Experienced Full-time for Ward 9
Councillor Anna Hopkins London home
since 1985

Meet Anna

A neighbour who shows up — and gets things done.

Anna and her husband Bill came to London more than three decades ago to raise their family and build a business. They settled in Byron, where Anna became active in the community — volunteering on Home & School, soccer clubs, and a day-care building society, and serving for years on the board of the Urban League and the Lambeth and Byron community organizations.

Fifteen years ago, Anna joined neighbours in the effort to Save Reservoir Hill from oversized development. Through that work she learned how the city really works — about planning, about heritage, and about the value of every councillor listening to residents. She has put that knowledge to work for Ward 9 ever since.

  • Three terms serving Ward 9 residents
  • Decades of community board & volunteer service
  • Founding member, Byron Community Organization
  • Long-time member, Urban League of London
“Your community, your concerns matter. As your councillor I will do my homework, listen respectfully, and collaborate to get results.”

What Anna stands for

Priorities for Ward 9 & London

Practical, balanced leadership — building a city that respects its neighbourhoods, its heritage and its environment.

Better mobility

Better transit, safe cycling, responsible road projects and walking choices — so residents have the freedom to move around the city safely, at every age.

Responsible, balanced growth

Develop our city without needless sprawl — building up and inward, while protecting heritage, neighbourhoods, farmland and the environment.

Holding the line on taxes

Compact, smart development keeps costs down. Anna fights for value on every tax dollar and reliable services residents can count on.

An age-friendly city

More sidewalks, benches and bus shelters so people of every age can get around — and age in place close to the services and amenities they need.

Housing & homelessness

A variety of housing options across the city, and continued action on housing stability and reducing homelessness.

Accountability & transparency

Respect for residents, honest answers and open collaboration — doing the homework on the issues that affect your home and your street.
